Cross Country - Boys

The Bishop Blanchet Boy’s Cross Country team has a long tradition of providing our young men with a non-cut sport that creates opportunities to set and achieve personal goals, to compete and succeed, and to build close friends while having a great time.

All Bishop Blanchet students are welcome to join our team. The boy's cross country program fields a team of over eighty young men 每个季节 committed to each other and the task of self-improvement in both life and running.  Our weekly and seasonal awards are based on personal improvement.

The Bishop Blanchet Boy’s Cross Country team has a rich tradition within the Metro League and 华盛顿 State. The boy’s cross country team has won (27) League Championships (24-Metro & 3-Wesco), qualified for the State Cross Country Championships for a State Record (55) times and won (9) State Championships.

The Bears continued their tradition of excellence with a fantastic 2023 cross country season. The team finished 6th in state, with junior Vince Recupero finishing 2nd in state. We are so proud of their effort and grit! 去熊!

The Bishop Blanchet Boys Cross Country Team competed at an extremely high level all season long. The team took 2nd at the Metro Championship. Six runners finished in the top 17 out of 97 runners. Dash Weber '23 finished 17th, Will Sandnes '24 finished 16th, Ryker Demick '24 finished 11th, Drew Oliver '23 placed 9th, Johnny DiMartino '23 placed 6th and Vincent Recupero '25 became the 2022 Metro Individual Champion. 

The team brought home the 2022 District Championship with seven runners finishing in the top 20 out of 99 runners. Vince Recupero '25 became the 2022 District Individual Champion, Will Schneider '23 finished 5th, Drew Oliver '23 finished 6th, Johnny DiMartino '23 finished 7th, Will Sandnes '24 finished 11th, Ryker Demick '24 finished 18th and Dash Weber '23 finished 19th.

After Districts, the team competed in the highly competitive WIAA 3A State meet at Sun Willows 高尔夫球 Course in Pasco, WA. The team placed 2nd overall out of 20 teams and had severn runners finish in the top 56 out of 193 runners. Will Schneider '23 finished 10th overall and Vincent Recupero '25 finished 3rd.
